Community Service Month

Here at Westlake Charter’s BASE program, we find it very important to learn and explore what it means to be a part of a community. One of the ways we explore this concept is to participate in a variety of community service projects.  We help our community in the following ways:

Pennies for Patients

Canned Food Drive for Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services

Making Drawing Books for the Pediatric Ward at Sutter Hospital

Community Service Awareness

Campus Clean Up

Our Community Service “Month” actually starts on January 27th and ends on March 14th. Look for more information in the following weeks as we kick off our Pennies for Patients fundraiser. This fundraiser benefits children with blood cancers through the efforts of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. For more information about this amazing organization go to : www.lls.org.

BASE PRESENTS: Hablo Espanol!

This class is a fee based class that focuses on providing extra support in Spanish for students 1st-4th grades at our Del Paso campus. The instructor for this class is none other than our wonderful Westlake Spanish teacher, Mrs. Carmen Venegas! Her 12 week course is $120.00. That’s only $10.00 per class! To register or for more information, please email Carmen at [email protected].

We also offer Early Engineers, Glee, Theater, Art, and Mandarin. These are all fee based programs that are coordinated by BASE and run outside the scope of our program. Look for updated information about these classes on the BASE page in the next few days.

THANK YOU!
