Announcements:

For the Whole School

CAASPP Results Coming Home – Westlake Charter School received our individual student score reports from our district partners on Friday afternoon. We are already stuffing envelopes and preparing to send these individual reports home to our families. Keep your eyes on your mailbox. We will be sending home your student results in the coming week.

Parents Go to School Night: Fall Edition – Parents Go To School Night is THIS Wednesday, September 30 from 6:00-7:30PM on our Del Paso campus.  As this is a “parent only” event, we don’t want childcare to be an inhibiting factor in your decision to attend, so our BASE program will be open for FREE during the event.  For details on the Breakout Sessions and to reserve a seat in your preferred session, click HERE.

Every year, in the Spring, Westlake invites our teachers to present to our parents at “Parents go to School Night!” This year, we have added the “Fall Edition,” which will be facilitated by our Admin Team. We thought it would be nice to give Admin an opportunity to highlight some of the major initiatives that our school is focusing on. At this event, we will host breakout sessions on: Growth Mindset, Technology, Project Based Learning, Social Emotional Skills, Common Core Mathematics, and NWEA. The Spring Edition will still be held in February and lead by our amazing teachers! We hope everyone can make it out to this evening of learning.

Progress Report and Access to Student Portal – On Friday your child should have come home with a progress report in their backpack. These are the first reports we have sent home from our new Student Information System, Infinite Campus. This new system was adopted by the Natomas Unified School District this year, and we have worked in partnership during these past several months to roll out this implementation. As with any new system, there is much to learn; having said that, we would like to applaud our teachers for the work they are doing in this area.

To accompany student progress reports, all students in 4th – 8th grade will receive instructions demonstrating how to use the Student Portal in the coming week. This portal will allow parents in 4th – 8th grade to view assignments, assessments and attendance as they are reported into the Student Information System. The links below are intended to help students and families log into this portal.

Once your student receives their username and password for the student portal, the links below will help understand how to log in:
