Book Fair:  Our Scholastic Book Fair kicked off at the Fall Festival, and will be open this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for families to shop.  Check out the times in the “Upcoming Dates” section above. The Book Fair will take place in the library on the Del Paso campus.  If you aren’t able to visit the Book Fair, here is an online shopping option!

Spirit Gear: Thank you to our WAVE Parent team for organizing the sale and distribution of over 700 articles of spirit gear! Way to show that #ExplorerPride! Spirit gear was distributed on Thursday and Friday. If you did not receive your gear, or had a question about the gear that was distributed, please contact our team at [email protected]. As a reminder, our dress code only permits spirit shirts to be worn on Fridays; however, a Spirit Gear sweatshirt can be worn over your regular school uniform. NOTE: PLEASE REMEMBER TO WRITE YOUR STUDENT’S NAME ON THE TAG OF YOUR STUDENT’S SPIRIT GEAR.

Olympic Triathlon: The Olympic Triathlon is a long-standing tradition at Westlake Charter School. In the beginning, our founders dreamed of a school that offered more for our students: Spanish, Art, an Innovative PE program, an international focus and teachers who masterfully designed curriculum to meet the personalized needs of every learner. The Olympic Triathlon helps our school to fund these dreams into reality. Our specialty programs, personalization through the use cutting edge technology, and amazing community are all converging on our brand new campus in 2017! This year, the proceeds raised from the Olympic Triathlon will go toward ensuring that our new facility is equipped with infrastructure and furniture as a 21st Century Learning Model for our students, our teachers and the special program that has grown to become Westlake Charter School.

KCRA Kids Can Food Drive: We will be collecting non-perishable food items for the KCRA Kids Can Food Drive from October 26th-November 6th.  We will be donating all of our food items to Joey’s Food Locker which goes directly to families who reside in the Natomas Unified School District. Thank you for the kick start of the food collection at the Fall Festival!
