“Here for the Hot Cocoa!” Attendance Challenge: Families, we hope that you are having a wonderful break with your student. As we come back from Thanksgiving break, we enter a period of time where, historically, attendance declines. For our K-8 students, this is the very beginning of the 2nd Trimester of learning. It is so important that your student is in school if they are healthy. Missing school can negatively impact a student’s academic and social-emotional performance. It can also impact students’ ability to graduate on time from High School.
For the month of December, we will be celebrating grade levels who have positive attendance. With “Here for the Hot Cocoa!”, grade levels that have the highest average of students in attendance each day from 11/27-12/21 will get to participate in a Hot Cocoa party on our last day before Winter Break.
PSAT/NMSQT Results/Family Communication: PSAT/NMSQT results are in for our 11th grade students and were sent home through advisory classes on Friday, November 17th. 11th grade families, please use the following resources to help with analyzing your student’s results.

End of the Semester: The high school semester will end on December 21st. Please remember, if a student finishes the semester with an IE (insufficient evidence) they will not receive credit for that course. Students can take advantage of resources like Flex Blocks and the Learning Lab at lunch and after school for additional support to finish the semester strong.
“Here for the Hot Cocoa!” Attendance Challenge: Families, we hope that you are having a wonderful break with your student. As we come back from Thanksgiving break, we enter a period of time where, historically, attendance declines. For our 9th-11th grade students, this time period marks the end of the first semester. It is a time of final projects and wrapping up Semester 1 course work.
