Using a bike, scooter or skateboard16-4-1 NNTMA Parking Map is an excellent way to get to and from school.  Our campus is uniquely situated close to City Bike Paths and along City streets that have designated bike lanes.  Even better, the City Bike Paths and designated bike lanes lead to several parks which are great locations for a quick morning drop-off, or easy afternoon pick-up.  Bike, scooter and skateboard racks are conveniently located at the front of campus, near the flagpole.

Students who would like to stretch their legs a little more in the morning, a flat one-mile Bike Path can be taken from Town Center Drive to campus.

By knowing the roads you’ll take, following some simple rules and demonstrating Westlake’s Core Values, you’ll help keep traffic moving and our community safe.

Know the Roads16-4-1 NNTMA Parking Map

1. If using residential streets, proceed with caution and demonstrate safe biking/riding habits at all time.

2. Use City Bike Paths or neighborhood streets to bike/ride to school.

3. Use City-designated Bike Lanes on roads which lead to campus.

Know the Rules

1. Talk with your student and select an age-appropriate distance and route they can take to bike/skate to school.  Consider riding with your student on their first few trips to make sure they understand the Roads and Rules.

2. No riding on campus. Once your student arrives on campus, bikes, scooters, and skateboards need to be walked to the bike rack and secured by your student.  The school is not responsible for lost or damaged bikes, scooters or skates which were not properly secured.

3. If you are biking, skating or riding a scooter to school, we ask that you demonstrate safe habits at all times.

3. Use City-designated Bike Lanes on roads which lead away from campus.

Know the Rules

1. As your student leaves campus, bikes, scooters, and skateboards need to be walked to the City Bike path at the back of campus or the Maybrook gate.  Students who are reuniting with parents away from the school must do so in Green Zones that do not interfere with cars queueing up to enter the parking lot.

2. In order to keep students safe and cars moving through the parking lot, students who are biking, skating or using scooters should avoid exiting from the north part of the campus. Consider reuniting with your student at one of the many parks located nearby in the community.

3. If you are biking, skating or riding a scooter from school, we ask that you demonstrate safe habits at all times.
