February Break: School will be closed Monday, February 17th through Friday, February 21st. Our BASE program will be CLOSED on Monday, February 17th but will be open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Tuesday, February 18th through Friday, February 21st.
Hearing/Vision: We will have our annual hearing and vision screening on February 24th and 25th. The screenings are for Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 8th grade students. Letters went home on Friday. If you would like your student to opt out, please email [email protected].

Canyon Creek: Conference week is March 9th – March 13th. Remember, during conference week we will dismiss early to allow time to meet with each of our families – Kindergarten will dismiss at 1:00 PM and 1st–8th grade will dismiss at 1:30 PM. Advisory Fishbowl Parent Sign Up: Please join us as our 6th-8th grade students hold a discussion. On March 16th from 8:15 AM – 8:57 AM, you will join a small group of 6th-8th grade students and a staff member and engage in a guided conversation. Click HERE to sign up to be a part of this event.
Whole School Morning Meeting: Whole School Morning meeting: Families are welcome to join us for our end of trimester whole school morning meeting! At the whole school morning meeting, celebrate students and build community in the same way we do in class each day.

FREE Natomas 5K: Mark your calendar, April 25, 2020 for the Natomas 5K “Run for Their Future,”. All Westlake students AND staff will be sponsored by the The Inderkum family! This fun-for-all ages event will include vendors, entertainment, raffles, food, and so much more! Proceeds will be used by the Natomas Schools Foundation for college scholarships or computer grants to help students within Natomas Unified School District boundaries.

Glee Club National Anthem Performance: The Westlake Charter School Glee Club has been invited to sing the National Anthem at the Kings vs 76ers game at Golden One Center on March 5th at 7pm. All families are invited to purchase discounted tickets to the game and support our amazing Glee Club. Click HERE to buy your tickets today! WAVE Board Elections: Are you interested in joining the WAVE Board? All board positions of President, Vice President of Business Operations, Vice President of Parent Participation, Treasurer and Secretary are coming up for election in April. Kudos: Everyday we see Westlake Charter School parents making a difference for our community. Melinda Velayo organizes the Lost n Found, takes pictures of labeled items and attempts to notify the owners. Nadine Reid manages and promotes School Cents and Shopping to Educate which both earn money for WAVE. Gaby Haueter collects Box Tops and sends them in for additional money for WAVE.
