Volunteers Needed: We are very grateful to the 125+ family members who have signed up to help with morning drop off and afternoon pickup for the first 30 days. How to Reach the School: Our campus is currently closed while we complete construction. The address for our new campus is 2680 Mabry Drive, Sacramento, CA 95835. Our phone number is 916-567-5760. Our office will open on August 15th. Please email [email protected] with any questions.

Meet the Teacher: On August 15th we will open our doors for Meet the Teacher!  Plan to come on campus anytime from 12-2PM. We encourage families to park at Burberry or Elderberry Park and practice their walking route to school.  Click HERE to learn more about the walking and driving routes as well as recommended parking areas.

Pick Up Placards and School Dismissal Manager: All families will receive their pick up placard at Meet the Teacher.  Placards are to be placed on the dashboard of all cars when entering the parking lot to pick up your student at dismissal.  The placard helps Westlake staff ensure student safety at dismissal. The placards are also a part of our partnership with School Dismissal Manager, a web based dismissal system that helps schools and families communicate about dismissal preferences. Each family will receive a login to School Dismissal manager via email in the coming weeks as well as receive information at Meet the Teacher.  This site will allow families to set the mode of pick up for each of the students in your family.   

BASE Dates: Our BASE program has been going strong all summer! August 11th will be the last day of the summer program at our Pebblewood location. The BASE program will be closed on August 14th and 15th to allow us to get set up on our new campus! BASE will open for the 2017-18 school year on August 16th at 7AM at 2680 Mabry Drive. Ways to Westlake: Now is the time: we need 100% of our families to collaborate on a smooth launch to the new year.

2. Click Here to sign up to volunteer at least one 30 minute shift, within the first 30 days of school.

Welcome Back BBQ: We are officially kicking off the 2017-18 school year at our Annual Back to School BBQ on August 12th from 11AM-2PM at Valley Oak Park! This is a great day to meet other Explorer Families, reconnect with friends and relax next to our brand new campus. WAVE will provide BBQ, drinks, games, a bounce house and more while families are welcome to bring a side or dessert to share. We are also thrilled to welcome Bike Doc, a mobile bike shop on wheels, to join us this year. Just bring your bike (only one bike per person), and let a professional mechanic fix it up for free! Experts will be on hand to adjust, inflate, change, tune-up and grease. Bikes are received on a first come, first served basis, and bike repair will be limited to 11AM-2PM. Spirit Store: The Westlake Charter Spirit Store is open! We have a wide variety of items available including t-shirts, polos, outerwear and bags.  Just click HERE to browse our selection of WCS gear and place your order today.  The deadline to submit an order is August 28th at noon and items are scheduled to arrive in mid-September. Don’t delay, the next order won’t be made until Spring 2018.
