Celebrations
Our 11th grade students traveled to Chico State this week to explore yet another college campus! A huge shout out to our high school counseling team and teacher and family chaperones for making this trip happen.
Congratulations to our top three classes in the Jibe Polar Paws Challenge! By walking, biking, and scooting to school, these students showed amazing teamwork while helping protect polar bears and their Arctic sea ice homes. Their prize? A polar bear adoption, a fun prize pack, and delivery by a very special visitor! Way to go, Ms. Osterhoudt, Ms. Floarea, and Ms. Walker’s classes—every trip made a difference!
Our Annual WAVE Family Dance was an event to remember. Memories were made, games were played and dancing was done! Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped put on such an unforgettable night and to those who joined our community and created connections!

Logging Hours: If you’ve volunteered 30 minutes or more, please take a quick moment to CLICK HERE to log your hours. Whether it was helping in the classroom, supporting the Olympic Triathlon, Bingo Night, or the Fall Festival, every hour counts! Tracking volunteer time helps us meet our school’s charter commitments and shows the incredible impact our families make. It takes less than a minute — let’s see which grade level can log the most hours!
Kudos: Huge props to our Westlake families for showing up and supporting our community in such a big way! 🙌
👏 Third Grade is leading the way with an incredible 629 hours
👏 First Grade has logged 483 volunteer hours
👏 Second Grade is close behind with 470 hours
A special celebration for First and Third Grade, who have both surpassed their 420-hour goal and are officially over 100% — amazing work! 💪✨
We’re also loving the momentum in other grades:
⭐ Kindergarten is at 71% of their goal
⭐ Eighth Grade is at 64% and climbing
Every hour counts, and every volunteer makes a difference. Let’s keep this energy going and cheer each other on as we work toward 100% participation across every grade level this year.
Thank you for being such an engaged, generous, and supportive community — we’re excited to see what we accomplish together! 💙
