Celebrations
Our K-8 Explorers recently participated in The Great Kindness Challenge through Morning Meeting and Advisory activities and a Kindness Carnival, all focused on bringing kindness to their friends, family, community, environment, and themselves!
Congratulations to our Robotics Team, The Metal Benders, who earned the Innovate Award in the FIRST Tech Challenge Competition. This honor recognizes teams for creative, effective and well-documented engineering solutions. The award reflects our students’ hard work, teamwork and growth as they designed, built, programmed and refined their robot throughout the season.
In its debut semester, our Marine Biology elective is already making waves as students explore ocean density through engaging, hands-on learning. We love seeing science come alive in the classroom!

Career Day: We are planning our Spring 2026 Career Day with our 3rd and 7th grade students! Career exploration promotes self-awareness and allows students to learn about their abilities, interests, and strengths. We are looking for volunteers to share about their careers! If you or someone you know has an awesome career and would be interested in sharing about it with our students, please CLICK HERE to express interest and our counselors will reach out to you. Kudos: Thanks to everyone who helped plan, set up and attend our WAVE Family Dance on Saturday! We hope you connected with old friends and made new ones while enjoying the music, dancing, and activities that brought our Westlake community together. Without volunteers like you, events like this wouldn’t be possible.
