Celebrations
What a cozy and fun-filled day! Thank you to everyone who joined in our K–12 Spirit Day: Pajama Day. From fuzzy slippers to snuggly onesies, it was wonderful to see everyone showing their school spirit in comfy style. #WCSSpiritFridays
Our Fall Semester Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Night was a wonderful celebration of our students’ hard work and creativity. Thank you Mr. Rubin and Ms. Firsty for creating meaningful opportunities for our students to share their learning and to our community for coming out to enjoy the many talents of our VAPA Explorers.
Holidays Around the World is one of the ways we highlight Our Place in a Global World! Prior to Winter Break, our K-8 students came together to explore holidays from different cultures. Older Explorers teamed up with younger Explorers to create crafts inspired by the different holidays. #WCSGlobalPerspective

Logging Hours: If you’ve volunteered 30 minutes or more, please take a quick moment to CLICK HERE to log your hours. Whether it was helping in the classroom, supporting the Olympic Triathlon, Bingo Night, or the Fall Festival, every hour counts! Tracking volunteer time helps us meet our school’s charter commitments and shows the incredible impact our families make. It takes less than a minute — let’s see which grade level can log the most hours!
Kudos: Thank you to the more than 150 volunteers who have helped make WAVE’s support of Westlake Charter School possible this year. Whether you supported in classrooms, volunteered at the Fall Festival or the Olympic Triathlon, or showed up for Coffee Talks, your presence truly matters. We strongly believe that when families are engaged, our school is stronger—and a stronger school means a better experience for our students. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has stepped up and supported our community since the start of this school year.
