Our Spanish 1 students enjoyed the annual Starbooks tradition in Ms. Threadgill’s class, where the room transformed into a cozy café for exploring Spanish-language books. Students immersed themselves in authentic literacy experiences while enjoying warm beverages, discovering new stories, and building confidence as Spanish readers. Starbooks continues to be a joyful tradition that brings language learning to life at WCHS.

The Minute Challenge continues!  Students are taking part in The Minute Challenge, using Imagine Math — an adaptive online program that meets each student at their skill level and helps them grow in math. As they complete lessons, students can earn prizes, awards, and even donate to real charities. Families can support by encouraging about 45 minutes per week (K–2) and 60 minutes per week (3–8) on Imagine Math, and by asking students about their progress and goals.

It takes less than a minute — let’s see which grade level can log the most hours by November 30th!

Kudos: A big WAVE of gratitude to The Torbeck Family for creating our custom WAVE Direction Sign — a brand-new landmark that made its debut at the Fall Festival and will return for future events like the International Festival! 💙🧡

This 7-foot sign wasn’t just functional — it helped families easily find their way around and made the event feel even more welcoming and connected. It means so much that a family took the time and effort to build something so thoughtful and lasting for our community. 🙌

Thank you, Torbeck Family, for your creativity, craftsmanship, and WAVE spirit! 🌊✨
