Celebrations
Energy filled both campuses as our Explorers embraced new friendships during Mix It Up Day! This special day invites Explorers to break out of their comfort zones and connect with someone new during lunch.
This past week, our K–8 Explorers took part in International Walk to School Day by joining the Walking School Bus from Burberry Park or making their own way to school by walking or rolling! Upon arrival, they were greeted by a live DJ and kicked off the day with music and dancing. A big thank you to our incredible Jibe team for their ongoing support of our students!
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing families for participating in WCHS’s Semester One Conference Week! Your meaningful conversations and reflections on your student’s progress were truly inspiring. We appreciate your continued partnership and support.

Strategic Plan Family Focus Groups: As Westlake Charter School continues to grow and evolve, your voice is essential in shaping our path forward! We are so grateful to the families who filled out our Strategic Plan Family Survey prior to October Break.
Our next step in this process is to hold Family Focus Groups for those who are interested in exploring key topics raised in the survey, such as Positive Student Behavior, Academic Readiness, Positive Student Relationships, Social-Emotional Readiness, and more.
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Strategic Plan Family Focus Groups on Wednesday, November 5th, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at our K-8 Campus. Your voice is vital to shaping the future of Westlake Charter School, and we’d be delighted to have you join us.
To help us plan meaningful conversations, please CLICK HERE to RSVP. Your RSVP will also help us provide enough snacks for everyone.
To support participation, BASE will remain open free of charge for currently enrolled Westlake Charter School students whose families attend the event. Please let us know in your RSVP if you plan to utilize BASE.
Thank you for your continued partnership and helping to demonstrate what’s possible when school and community collaborate!

As they complete lessons, students can earn prizes, awards, and even donate to real charities. Families can support by encouraging about 45 minutes per week (K–2) and 60 minutes per week (3–8) on Imagine Math, and by asking students about their progress and goals.
