K-12 Announcements

Core Value of the Month: The month of March focuses on Global Perspective. Explorers will learn about Positive Decision Making, Self Awareness, Social Awareness, and Digital Citizenship through their morning meeting and advisory classes.

Attendance System: At Westlake Charter School, we are always looking for ways to strengthen our connection with families and support our students in reaching their full potential. One of the most important factors in student success is consistent attendance, and we want to ensure that every family has the tools and information they need to help their child thrive.

In the next month, we are launching a new attendance notification system designed to help families stay informed when a student misses school. This system will track attendance from January 7th through the end of the school year and provide timely notifications to parents and guardians. In addition to tracking recent absences, we will also include Chronic Absenteeism data for the entire school year to help families understand their student’s overall attendance patterns.

Our goal is not only to keep you informed but also to partner with you in supporting your child’s attendance and removing any barriers that might make getting to school a challenge. We know that life can sometimes make attendance difficult, and we want to work alongside you to ensure every student has the opportunity to fully engage in learning each day.

If you have any questions about your child’s attendance or need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we are here to help!

Thank you for your partnership and for entrusting us with your child’s education. Let’s continue making this school year a great one!
