WCHS had a visit from the County of Sacramento for a mock election. During this visit, Juniors and Seniors had the opportunity to learn how to fill out a ballot, pre-register and register to vote, and even express interest in working at a polling station for the general election in November. Thank you to our US government teacher Angie Tang for organizing this event. We are so proud of our civically engaged high school students!

  1. Connect with your classroom teacher at least 24 hours before coming to volunteer in the classroom. This will give the teacher a chance to be prepared and make your volunteer time as efficient as possible.
  2. Check in at the front office to receive a volunteer badge.
  3. If volunteering in a classroom, support all Explorers in the classroom, or your group, as instructed by the classroom teacher.
  4. If volunteering to prepare materials, please respect the teacher’s shared workroom space.
