2023-24 Lottery Application Window Now Open: Our 2023-24 lottery is now open, including our freshman, sophomore, and junior classes at Westlake Charter High School! Current students do not need to fill out an application to continue their enrollment at WCS; however, siblings do need to fill out lottery applications to attend. Spread the word and encourage friends and family to visit joinwestlake.com to apply today.

Parent Survey:The Parent Survey is taken 3 times a year. CLICK HERE to answer six questions to rate your family’s experience at Westlake Charter School during the 2022-23 school year. The deadline is Thursday, December 16th.

Winter Break: Both campuses and BASE will be closed for Winter Break Friday, December 23rd through Monday, January 9th. We look forward to welcoming staff and students back on Tuesday, January 10th. BASE will be open on January 9th. 

Coffee Talk: Join us on Thursday, December 8th for our WAVE Coffee Talk at the Westlake Charter High School campus,  4400 East Commerce Way,  Sacramento, CA 95834. We’ll get the conversation started at 8:30am and we’d love to have you join!

Spirit Day – Pajama Day: Thursday, December 22nd is pajama day! Students and staff can show their spirit by wearing pajamas. Please remember to follow the dress code guidelines below for spirit day:

• Clothes must be free of inappropriate wording and images
• All shirts must have sleeves, no sleeveless shirts.
• All clothing must be free of rips and tears
• All clothing must fit properly. Pants around the natural waist, tops completely covering the torso area

End of Semester Update: Our semester at the high school will come to a close on December 22nd.  Report cards will be mailed home on January 13th after grades have been finalized. 

Monthly WAVE Meeting: Once a month we host a parent/guardian meeting to discuss community building activities, fundraising, upcoming events, and ways to support our staff. If you are interested in learning more about WAVE or finding out how to get involved, this is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the Westlake Charter community. Please join us on Wednesday, December 7th at 6:00pm in the library at our K-8 campus. A copy of the meeting agenda can be found by CLICKING HERE.

Logging Volunteer Hours: Families have volunteered thousands of hours so far this school year which greatly benefits our students. Please take a couple minutes to log every hour spent supporting our students and helping build community including Olympic Triathlon, Fall Festival, field lessons, classroom help, home prep, meeting attendance, and more. Kudos: Wow, families, we raised over $53,000 during the 15th annual Olympic Triathlon! Thank you for donating, fundraising, volunteering, and spreading the word about Westlake Charter School. This is a huge accomplishment and we are incredibly proud of this community!
