Vaccine Verification Update: Effective September 17, 2022, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) rescinded a previously-issued Health Order which required the school to verify vaccination status for all paid and unpaid adults serving in the school settings. Based on this update from the CDPH, we have updated our Volunteer Process to reflect this change.
- Volunteer Process: We are excited to welcome volunteers to campus as classroom volunteers, field lesson chaperones, WAVE event volunteers and more! We know it can be a little confusing to understand what documents or clearances are needed for different volunteer opportunities, so please CLICK HERE to read the 2022-23 Volunteer process. Fall Festival: We are excited to bring back a family favorite event, Fall Festival on Saturday, October 15th from 3-6pm at our K-8 campus. Be on the lookout for ways to help, including donating items, volunteering the day of, and creating a silent auction basket.

GATE Enrichment: Current GATE students grades 3rd-8th will be bringing home permission slips to participate in a once-a week enrichment group during lunch beginning September 28th.
Toys at school: Parents, we ask that children share their toys outside of school time. Toys or trading cards at school cause distractions and in many cases have led to conflict between students. Items of this nature may be confiscated and kept in the office until parents or guardians can retrieve them. Students and parents assume all responsibility for any items taken to school. WCS accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen items.
Inclement Weather Arrival: On mornings of inclement weather (rain, air quality, or heat advisory), K-5 will not have Morning Lineup. Students will go directly to their class and teachers will welcome students beginning at 8:10 am. For those students who need breakfast, they will eat in the cafeteria and then go to their classroom.
