Our staff will be returning to campus, but a reminder that students and families will participate in the launch of the year all virtually. If you need to come to campus to drop off your student at BASE or pick up distance learning supplies, please stay in the parking lot and be sure to follow all safety guidelines including wearing masks and remaining six feet from one another. School Supplies: As we do each year, our teachers are collecting all the supplies your student will need for learning inside the classroom, as well as through distance learning. As such, we will not be sending supply request lists to families. Click HERE to donate toward our school supply campaign.

Welcome to the Westlake Association of Volunteer Explorers (WAVE), the parent group of Westlake Charter School. Every parent/guardian is a member and there are no dues or applications to fill out. We work together with the school to build community, hold interactive events, fundraise and support our students. WAVE encourages families to volunteer at least 30 hours a year, whether it is in the classroom, at a festival, on a field trip or another way. The beginning of the school year may look a little different but we will continue to build community, collaborate with WCS staff and accomplish the mission. We truly are better together!
We have meetings throughout the year to discuss volunteer needs, upcoming events, fundraising and so much more. We also have Coffee Talks with WCS Administration several times a year. The next Coffee Talk is coming up on August 10th and we hope you will join us (virtually).
WAVE has a private Facebook page which is a fantastic resource for our families. https://www.facebook.com/groups/WCSWAVE/ We have also just created grade level specific Facebook pages for families to discuss childcare plans/needs, build distance learning groups, share resources and build community. These pages are optional but we encourage you to join if you can.
Every week WAVE shares updates, events and volunteer requests in the Westlake Weekly. Please be sure to click on the WAVE tab after reading the schoolwide announcements each week.
