Trimester 2 Parent Survey:  Click HERE to complete our Trimester 2 Parent Survey. We survey parents each trimester to get feedback on how we are meeting our strategic plan. Some initiatives that have come from the parent survey are sending weekly texts, After School LIVE, and the upcoming launch of the Parent’s Sports Committee.

Parent Teacher Conference: Sunday, March 11 is the last day to sign up for conferences using our online scheduler. If you have not signed up for a conference by Monday, March 12th, please reach out to your teacher directly to schedule the conference. Parent Teacher conferences will be held March 12th – 16th. Click HERE to sign up for your student’s conference. Click HERE for instructions on how to sign up. We look forward to having 100% of our families attending a 1st trimester conference. Remember, March 12th – 17th will be early dismissal for all grades to allow for time to meet with each of our families.

BASE is Open Conference Week:  All grades have early dismissal for the week of conferences, March 12th – 16th. Kindergarten will dismiss at 1:00pm and 1st – 8th grade will dismiss at 1:30pm. BASE will be open all week until 6:00 pm.

8th Grade Information Night: The WCS 8th Grade Information Night will be held on Thursday, March 15th at 6pm. This event will provide an opportunity for 8th grade families to learn about promotion requirements and end of year events.

Westlake Athletics Program: We are calling all families who have any background experience in managing, coaching or facilitating sports programs to come to a special meeting. The Parent Athletics Coalition meeting, will be held Thursday, March 29th at 6:00pm, in the multi-purpose room. At this meeting we will be soliciting parent expert advice on how to best develop a WCS Athletics Program to launch in the Fall of 2018.

Minute to Win It Night: Please join us for a laid back evening of games, laughter and timers! The challenges begin at 6pm on Friday, March 23rd. You will not want to miss this event!

2018 International Festival: Calling all Explorer Families! We are searching for cultural booth hosts to share food, crafts and activities of their heritage at our annual festival on April 7th from 3-7pm! We are trying to have more cultures represented than ever before this year! Please contact [email protected] for more information or to sign up to host a booth click HERE.

Committee Positions: We are currently seeking volunteers for several committees including the Arden Fair School Cents Competition. This position helps us earn free money for WCS and can be done outside of regular school hours. WAVE Board Elections: Are you interested in being part of the WAVE board? All board positions for President, VP of Business Affairs, VP of Parent Participation, Treasurer and Secretary are coming up for elections in April.
