Holiday Break Schedule: Thursday, December 15th will be early dismissal for all grades. There will be no school on Friday, December 16th through Monday, January 2nd. BASE will be open from 7:00am to 6:00pm for all grades at our Del Paso campus with the exception of December 23rd, December 26th, and January 2nd.

Canned Food Drive: The Winter holidays will soon be over, and the food cupboard is in need! Westlake Charter will be running a Canned Food Drive from Jan 3rd-Jan 20th, 2017. All donations will be delivered to Joey’s Food Locker, which supports local Natomas families. Items of greatest need are: macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, jelly, canned vegetables, canned tuna, and canned chicken meat (no glass containers please). Please bring items to your classroom, after our Winter Break. Thank you for your donation!
Get In, Eat, Vamonos 2.0: This Monday, December 12th, our next common area campaign will launch. This campaign will focus on students coming into and leaving the cafeteria. Don’t forget to ask your explorer about what they are practicing all next week!

Holidays Around the World: This Wednesday, December 15th, will be our celebration of Holidays Around the World. Students will rotate from class to class in their grade level to learn about different Holiday celebrations! If you are interested in volunteering, contact the office or your student’s teacher.
PBIS Campaign Launch: This week on campus we will launch, “Explorers, Don’t Miss Your Meal.” This behavior campaign will focus on how students get in and out of the cafeteria safely and respectfully. Don’t forget to ask your student about how they can be a responsible Explorer and flow in and out of the cafeteria quickly and quietly.
Uniforms: This week in Advisory/Homeroom we will be reviewing the uniform policy to ensure all students know what the uniform guidelines are for Westlake. Please see the attached policy for your review.
Holidays Around the World: This Thursday, December 16th, will be our celebration of Holidays Around the World. Students will rotate from class to class with their Advisory/Homeroom classes to learn about different Holiday celebrations!
