Chili Cook Off: Please join WCS this Thursday for our fall tradition – the Chili Cook Off under the stars! It is a fantastic event for the whole family. There is music, food, smiles and community building for all who attend!

Parents Go To School Night: Parents Go To School Night on September 28th is like a conference for parents! At this event, you will have the opportunity to learn from our WCS experts on how to best support your child during the 2016-17 school year. The event will include staff sessions, community booths, and food by Masa Taco Kitchen!  Click HERE to see the schedule and sessions. This is a parents-only event, so BASE will be available to students of attendees by registering HERE.

High School Preview Night: High School Preview Night is held each year on our Pebblewood campus and is open to all families Kindergarten through 8th Grade. See presentations by 12 great high schools and have an opportunity to speak with representatives from schools and programs that meet the personalized needs of your family.

Fall Festival: The Fall Festival is an annual community tradition at Westlake Charter. Invite your friends, bring your family, and enjoy a day of food, fun and festivities! Don’t forget to reach out to your homeroom or advisory teacher to ask what you may contribute to the Fall Festival Fundraiser Basket!

Progress Reports:  All teachers will be sending home progress reports for students next Friday, September 23rd. These progress reports are an in-progress grade. They are a snapshot of the learning and achievement your student has taken part in all subject areas. They are a tool to open a conversation with your students teacher. Please make sure to reach out to your child’s homeroom or speciality teacher with any questions you have at this point in the trimester.

Math Monday: Please check here each week for the link to Math Monday. Come out to the lineup on Monday mornings to celebrate math with us.

Progress Reports: Progress Reports will be sent home Friday, September 23rd. Please ask your student for an envelope that has a few important documents in it. You will find your student’s grade report, a reflection sheet, and a progress report cover sheet. Please sign and return the reflection sheet and cover sheet by Tuesday, September 27th. Please take the time to review your student’s progress so far this semester. This is a snapshot of your student’s progress, and as you know, grades will change quickly. Please check Infinite Campus for the most up-to-date information. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your student’s teacher.

Chili Cook Off: Please take the time to sign up to be involved in this awesome event. You will sign up under your homeroom/advisory teacher. We need supplies donated, help with setting-up, serving chili, etc. We can’t wait to see you on September 22nd! This is going to be an amazing night!
