Celebrations:
We held our official groundbreaking ceremony for our new campus, located at 2680 Mabry Drive on Saturday. Thanks for all who came out to witness this historical event!
Thank you to all the families who hosted and celebrated the end of summer together at the back to school BBQ! It was fun to reconnect while looking across the field and realize that our new campus is already underway!
Our entire Teaching Staff spent several days together this summer preparing for the launch of an amazing school year!
We were honored to welcome so many families during our family orientation nights this past week. It looks like we have a very engaged parent team this year so please, get involved and let’s make this the best year ever!
Announcements:
For the Whole School
Welcome Back Packets – Each family was sent a welcome back packet in the mail. Please complete ALL the forms within the envelope and return them at our Meet the Teacher events.
Class List – Class lists for the 2016-2017 school year will be posted on August 9th for our Meet the Teacher events. Come on out, find out your classroom assignment and Meet the Teacher!
Supplies, Field Lessons, Spirit Shirt – At Westlake Charter School we pre-purchase all classroom supplies, pre-pay for all field trips and pre-order at least one piece of spirit gear for each student. If you are able to help by making any donation toward these costs, we ask that you do so at this link: Click Here to make Donations.
Start and End Times: As school is launching this week, we thought we would remind everyone of the importance of being on time to school and provide the following link to our bell schedule:

Meet the Teacher at Pebblewood Campus: This event will be held on Tuesday, 8/9 from 1:30-2:30pm. We are so excited to have families on campus to meet all of your student’s teachers. If your student didn’t pick up their schedule yet, they can see their Advisory teacher to pick it up.

First day of School: All Middle School students, 6-8th grade, should report to the blacktop at 7:30am to get their schedule from their Advisory teacher. The lists of advisory teachers and their students will be posted on the office wall facing the parking lot under the Westlake Charter sign. The students should then find their advisory teacher (who will be located on the blacktop) to retrieve their schedule. Their schedule will be on goldenrod paper and will be their “Golden Ticket” into 1st period. All middle school students will need their goldenrod schedule to attend class. Students without goldenrod schedules will not be allowed to join their teammates in class.
