Celebrations:

International Festival: A big shout, thank you and congratulations to Ashley Cajigas and all of our amazing parents for our biggest International Festival ever! Each of us should be grateful that our community meets the mission of our school in such a collaborative and fun fashion! Way to go, Explorers!
	The WCS Data Team presented to 20+ schools this week at an NWEA Lunch and learn. Several schools attended the luncheon at our school while many more across the state followed along via a webinar. Our team wowed the crowd with some of the innovative practices that are taking place in Westlake Classrooms!
Thank you to Mandy and Patrick for preparing all of our student devices for SBAC testing! We appreciate you!
	Congratulations to our very own Kim Hewitt who has been nominated for an N Factor Award! Wow, what an honor! N Factor awards are awarded to people who make a difference in the community of Natomas and Kim certainly meets that criteria! Congrats Ms. Hewitt!
Mrs. Wright’s 2nd graders were engaging in a science experiment outside where they were looking at different types of materials and how seeds would respond to being grown in something other than soil.  One student said, “I know that a seed won’t grow in oil but for the sake of science, I will give it a try!”
	This week in art class, students participated in “Chalk it Up” chalk art to celebrate Earth Day! Great job, Explorers, sharing your art skills with our school!

Infinite Campus – Parent Portal: We are excited to launch the updated Infinite Campus Parent Portal where parents can view attendance, grades, and other information about all of their children in one easy location. Until now, parents logged into to each of their children’s accounts separately.   Parents/guardians will be able to access information to work with teachers and other school staff to support their children’s success in school. Also, parents/guardians will be able to make changes to their phone numbers, email address, and other contact information online rather than with the front office. Friday you should have received an email from Infinite Campus with your login information and a link to step by step instructions. If you did not receive one please email [email protected]

For Pebblewood

OPTIONAL Spring Picture Day THIS Friday, April 29th:  Spring picture day will be optional this year.  All Pebblewood students will have free dress on April 29th, but only students who have filled out this form AND prepaid online or have their picture packet will be sent to the photographer to have their picture taken. If you would like to have your student’s spring picture taken by Lifetouch, please fill out this form AND prepay online or send payment in the packet with your student. Picture packets went home this week or you can view the e-form HERE.

SBAC Dates: Our students will participate in various testing for two weeks.  Testing days and times will vary each week depending on the tests being administered.
