Please join us for a K-8 Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, December 4th at 6:00 PM on our Del Paso Campus.  We will share information about Common Core Standards, the end of STAR testing, and our transition to the new Smarter Balanced Testing program.  At our December Board Meeting (December 12th), I will be asking the WCS Board of Directors to approve an early out week (January 27th-31st). The early out days will allow our team, your child’s teachers, dedicated time to participate in professional development specifically on Common Core.  The time to train and align our thematic units to the Common Core is critical to the continued success of our program.  Please attend this Town Hall to hear more about the importance of this training, and to answer your Common Core related questions.
