A huge thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who made the Fall Festival such a success! We’re so grateful to our Classroom Ambassadors and everyone who donated to the silent auction and raffle baskets. Special thanks to those who served food, sold tickets, ran game booths, set up, and cleaned up. Events like these wouldn’t be possible without you! #BetterTogether

Strategic Plan Family Focus Groups: As Westlake Charter School continues to grow and evolve, your voice is essential in shaping our path forward! We are so grateful to the families who filled out our Strategic Plan Family Survey prior to October Break.

Our next step in this process is to hold Family Focus Groups for those who are interested in exploring key topics raised in the survey, such as Positive Student Behavior, Academic Readiness, Positive Student Relationships, Social-Emotional Readiness, and more.

We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Strategic Plan Family Focus Groups on Wednesday, November 5th, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at our K-8 Campus. Your voice is vital to shaping the future of Westlake Charter School, and we’d be delighted to have you join us.

Parking Lot Safety: A quick reminder to help keep our students safe during drop-off and pick up:

  • Students should only exit and enter from the passenger side of the car.
  • Drive slowly and stay alert for other students and families walking nearby.
  • Pull all the way forward before stopping to unload.
  • Stay in your car.
  • Use the crosswalk when crossing the carline and the street.

Please help make drop-off safe and smooth for everyone! Your care and attention make a big difference in keeping our arrival time safe and smooth for everyone. We appreciate your partnership!

The Minute Challenge is Continuing This Week!  Students are taking part in The Minute Challenge, using Imagine Math — an adaptive online program that meets each student at their skill level and helps them grow in math. As they complete lessons, students can earn prizes, awards, and even donate to real charities. Families can support by encouraging about 45 minutes per week (K–2) and 60 minutes per week (3–8) on Imagine Math, and by asking students about their progress and goals.

K-8 Conference Week: Save the date for our K-8 Conference Week, November 17th – 21st. Remember, during Conference Week, we will dismiss early to allow time to meet with each of our families.  Kindergarten will dismiss at 1:00 PM and 1st – 8th grade will dismiss at 1:30 PM. Our BASE program will be open after school until 6:00 PM each day. The online scheduler is open now through November 17th. CLICK HERE for instructions on how to use the online scheduler.
