Celebrations
K-5 Explorers have been loving the new Walk and Talk activity in the morning before Morning Line Up. This activity is being enjoyed by more than just official Explorer students; members of our entire school community can be seen participating in this activity Monday-Friday: parents, students, grandparents, younger siblings. Come join us for a walk every morning! The top lap count this week was 4 laps.
K-8 Back to School Night was such a wonderful night for the whole community. Thank you to all of the families that came out to make this evening a success, and thank you to our amazing K-8 staff for kicking off the 2025-26 school year on the right foot.
WCHS rolled out over 29 student-led clubs for our 9th–12th grade Explorers at Friday’s Club Rush! From brand-new groups like ALAS (Alianza Latina de Alumnos y Sociedad), Camping Club, and Food Around the World Club to long-standing favorites like Red Cross (who brought firefighters to campus last year!) and cultural clubs such as Black Student Union (BSU), Muslim Student Association (MSA), and Sikh Honors and Service Society, our wide range of offerings reflects the richness of our community.

Traffic/Parking Reminders: Please be respectful and mindful during our arrival and dismissal process. Following traffic rules is an essential part of maintaining a safe environment for children. This includes parking in designated areas, adhering to the instructions of school staff, and obeying traffic laws. Traffic laws help to ensure that students are not in harm’s way when they are entering and exiting vehicles. When drivers obey traffic laws, they are less likely to be in an accident or cause a disruption in the flow of traffic. Additionally, traffic laws help to reduce congestion and provide a safe environment for pedestrians.
