K-8 Open House this Wednesday, May 18th from 5:30-7:00 PM:  We are excited to host our Open Houses in person this year! As we prepare for Open House, this year’s theme is “A day in the life!” Typically our K-8 Open House is a demonstration of work samples from across an entire year. This year, we realize that families have not been able to visit classrooms, so we want families to see how classes look on a “Typical Day.” Each classroom will showcase some student work, and families will experience school with their students in a 15-20 minute engagement or tour.

We want our families to visit and tour our classrooms! Many grade levels have developed independent tours, so that families can walk through classrooms with their students. Teachers may be stationed outside to mingle and connect with families.

This is our first in-person Open House in several years, and we would like this to be a comfortable and safe experience for all of our families. With this in mind please help reconnect our community by supporting the following guidelines:

  • Masks are strongly recommended indoors, if you see a classroom is full, consider waiting patiently before entering the classroom.
  • Please visit only your current classrooms.
  • Meet and greet with teachers in spaces outside the classroom.

High school Open House Wednesday, May 25th from 5:30 to 7:00 PM: We are excited to host our first annual WCHS Open house on Wednesday, May 25th! This will feel different from a traditional K-8 Open House as it is designed to show the different elements of our High School Program. Join us in the Oasis and Commons where staff members will host booths showcasing their core subjects, as well as electives and clubs. Families will also have a chance to take a tour of the interior of the campus. Our amazing Planting a Revolution elective is providing snacks for all family participants. We can’t wait to showcase and celebrate an incredible first year.

Kudos: Families were thrilled to see the Scholastic Book Fair back on campus this Spring. The library was full of shoppers looking through a huge selection of books to add to their collection. Thank you to our fabulous librarian, Mrs. Polanco, for organizing and running the book club all week long.
