Spirit Day – Pajama Day: Thursday, December 19th is pajama day. Please follow the dress code guidelines below for spirit day:

• Clothes must be free of inappropriate wording and images
• All shirts must have sleeves, no sleeveless shirts.
• All clothing must be free of rips and tears
• All clothing must fit properly. Pants around the natural waist, tops completely covering the torso area

Lottery Application Period: Our 2020-21 Lottery is now open! Visit joinwestlake.com to complete the application by January 31, 2020 at 4:00pm. Current students do not need to fill out an application to continue their enrollment at WCS; however, siblings do need to fill out lottery applications to attend. Please share this information with friends and family who are interested in attending Westlake Charter School.

Winter Break: School will be closed Friday, December 20st to Friday, January 3rd. Our BASE program will be open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the exception of the following dates: December 24th, December 25th and January 1st. As a reminder, Thursday, December 19th is a full day of school, not an early release date.

BASE: Our BASE program is open for Winter Break, 7am-6pm, with the exception of the following dates: December 24th, December 25th and January 1st.  Lost and Found: Our lost and found is overflowing with jackets, lunch boxes, water bottles and more! Please check for any missing items by Thursday, December 19th. All unclaimed items will be donated over Winter Break.

Talent Show Sign-Ups – Due Monday 1/13: Click HERE to sign up to audition to be a host, perform a talent, be part of the stage crew team, or participate in the K-8 Explorer Group Dance!

• Talent Show Performance: Friday, March 6th @ 6:00 PM
• Please be sure to sign up for the area your student is most interested in participating in.  After January 13th, students will not be able to move to another area of the Talent Show.

Santa in Natomas: Come out to Valley Oak Park on Thursday, December 19th at 6:10 PM. Santa, the Sacramento Fire Department, and the Sacramento Police Department will be making a special visit to Valley Oak Park!

Middle School Winter Athletics Sign-ups are Starting Now: It’s time for the winter Explorer Athletics season! The program is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. No prior experience is necessary to play, just a positive attitude and a growth mindset. Teams will meet twice a week throughout the season for practices and games. Practice days are consistent, but game days vary due to scheduling. Practices and games last from 3:25 – 4:15 every day except Wednesdays.

• Middle school students wanting to participate in Basketball will need to attend the clinics the first week back after winter break. Boys Basketball clinics are Monday and Thursday, January 6th and 9th. Girls Basketball clinics are Tuesday and Friday January 7th and 10th. Regular practice schedule begins Monday, January 13th, and games begin Monday, January 27th.

My Princess and Me Dance: Tickets are now on sale for the 8th Annual My Princess & Me Dance. This incredible night takes place on February 1st from 6 to 8pm at Westlake Charter School. 

A royal attendant is invited to escort their princess(es) to a magical event full of dancing, desserts, photos and more!
