Lost and Found: Our lost and found is overflowing with jackets, lunch boxes, water bottles and more! Please check for any missing items by Wednesday . All unclaimed items will be donated over Summer Break.

Trimester 3 Parent Survey – DUE 6/3: The Parent Survey is taken at the end of each trimester. Click HERE to answer six questions to rate your family’s experience at Westlake Charter School during the 2018-19 school year. The survey will close at 4:00 PM on Monday, June 3rd.

Field Day/Report Cards: All grades will dismiss at 12:00 pm. Report cards will be distributed at 12:00 pm, so please plan to for your student to attend the entire field day. If you have an appointment and need to pick your student up early, please plan for extra time as the students will be in rotating stations for field day. Also, please note that there will be no afternoon walking school bus on Wednesday, June 5th. Click HERE to volunteer for Field Day and to donate supplies.

• The parking lot tomorrow will be reserved for staff only as our full staff will be attending field day. Please allow time to find street parking and help us to be respectful of our neighbors.
• Kindergarten through 5th grade students should wear spirit shirts or grade level shirts and plan to dress in a dress for hot weather. Wearing bathing suits is not necessary.
• 6th and 7th grade explorers will be competing in their advisory teams. They should plan to wear the color representing their advisory teacher. 

K-5 Morning Meeting: Families are welcome to join us for our end of trimester whole school morning meeting! At the whole school morning meeting, we celebrate students and build community in the same way we do in class each day.

• K-2: Tuesday, June 4th, 8:45 AM – 9:30 AM
• 3-5: Tuesday, June 4th, 9:45 AM – 10:30 AM

8th Grade Promotion: 8th grade students should arrive at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 5th to practice promotion – dismiss at 12:00 PM. Promotion will be in the gym at 4:00 PM.

Fireworks Booth: The WCS Fireworks Booth is WAVE’s first fundraiser of the year and is a great chance for you to get a head start on your volunteer hours for next year! You can even sign up for more than one shift AND if you volunteer for a shift on the 4th of July, you’ll earn DOUBLE volunteer hours. Also, all volunteers can save an additional 10% off of their purchase.

Back to School BBQ: Please save the date for our Annual Back to School BBQ on August 3rd from 11a-2p. Be on the lookout for more information soon.

Kudos: As we say goodbye to another incredible year at Westlake Charter School, we must be sure to say thank you. Thank you to our phenomenal staff, our supportive parents, our hardworking students and our entire community.
