March Pedestrian Safety Month: March is Pedestrian Safety Month. We would like to kick off the month with parent volunteers assisting with Pedestrian Safety in crosswalks and in our parking lot. Click HERE to select a date and time to help.
Whole School Morning Meeting: Families are welcome to join us for our end of trimester whole school morning meeting! At the whole school morning meeting, we celebrate students and build community in the same way we do in class each day.
- K-2: Wednesday, March 6th, 8:45 AM – 9:30 AM
- 3-5: Wednesday, March 6th, 9:45 AM – 10:30 AM
6-8 Advisory Fishbowl: Please join us as our 6-8 grade students discuss ways to address the important topic of Bully Prevention. On March 15th from 8:15 AM – 8:57 AM, you will join a small group of 6-8th grade students and a staff member and engage in a guided conversation about Bully Prevention. Parent Teacher Conference: Parent Teacher March 4th – 8th. Click HERE to sign up for your student’s conference. Click HERE for instructions on how to sign up. Remember, March 4th – 8th will be early dismissal for all grades to allow for time to meet with each of our families.

BASE is Open Conference Week: All grades have early dismissal for the week of conferences, March 4th – 8th. Kindergarten will dismiss at 1:00pm and 1st – 8th grade will dismiss at 1:30pm. BASE will be open all week until 6:00 pm.
BASE Food and Book Drive: This February, BASE is excited to work with two amazing organizations that help those in need in and around our community. Please bring donations to the front office or BASE rooms February 4th to 28th.
- Food Drive: Canned food donations will be given to Joey’s Food Locker that benefits those in need right here in Natomas.
- Book Drive: New and very gently used books will be donated to the Salvation Army for their Family Rehabilitation Center Library.
Game Day Volunteers: Our Westlake Charter School basketball season is in full swing and games have begun! We’re looking for volunteers to help Mr. Beau referee games to support our Explorer Athletes and earn volunteer hours! All games are 3:30-4:15 in the Westlake Charter School gym. Healthy Living Night: WAVE is hosting a Healthy Living Night on Friday, March 15th at 6pm. We will be talking, learning and participating in topics like food, gardening, fitness, finances and more. 2019 International Festival: Save the Date for this WCS favorite! The International Festival Committee is busy planning this incredible event which is quickly approaching on April 6th from 3-7pm. WAVE Board Elections: Are you interested in being part of the WAVE board?
