After-School Live: Click HERE for more information, and click HERE to show your interest. After-School Live Clubs are back this year, and easier to lead than ever! Earn volunteer hours by leading Explorers in joyful learning experiences after school. New this year! If you would like to lead a club but don’t have time to plan one, choose a club that our middle school students are preparing! Email [email protected] if you are interested in leading a club that is ready to go; all you have to do is show up and supervise!

Labor Day: School and BASE will be closed on Monday, September 3rd for Labor Day.

Arden Fair School Cents: Next Saturday, September 8th, head on over to Arden Fair Mall’s center court (by the big elevator and Nordstrom) between 10-11am for a free Kids Club event featuring Minute to Win It games. Be sure to check in under Westlake Charter School at the table in order for WCS to earn 1,000 points per student in the School Cents competition! Thousands of dollars are awarded each year to the participating schools based on points earned during the school year. We also earn points for purchases made at Arden Fair. Turn in receipts by submitting your receipts online! Simply write “VOID” on your receipt, visit MarketingGuru.com/Receipts, click on School Cents and complete the form to upload. Alternatively, drop off your original receipts in the envelopes provided at the School Cents Drop Box, located at the Arden Fair Management Office (located on the exterior between Macy’s and Starbucks facing Arden Way).

Box Tops: Please save Box Tops to help Westlake earn money throughout the year. We will have two classroom competitions to encourage everyone to send in as many Box Tops as possible. Thank you!

Bingo Night: Please join us Friday, September 14th at 6pm for a wild and exciting night of Family Bingo. The evening will be full of competition, prizes, snacks and fun. You do not want to miss our first community event of the year!

Homework Zone: The North Natomas Library offers FREE homework help every Wednesday from 3:30-5:30pm for students in grades K-12. No registration is required!

Facebook Parents Group: Click HERE to join. Did you know that WAVE has a Facebook page specifically for families to connect and communicate regarding school and community events? Just a reminder, the page is not for communicating with WCS Administration or staff.

Logging Volunteer Hours: Our new website will be launching very soon. Simply keep track of all volunteer hours since the end of the 17/18 school year and log them all at once when the new site launches in September!
