Calling All Explorer Volunteers 30:30:30

Families, as we look forward to the opening of our new campus, we have BIG PLANS! However, these plans will not be successful without you. Our first opportunity is to tackle our School Arrival and Dismissal Program. We are calling for 30 Volunteers a Day, to serve 30 Minute Shifts, for the first 30 Days of School. Volunteers will help with our DAILY Walking School Bus, our Parking Lot procedures and helping students find their way to Westlake. We will need every family to make our school opening a success, so please, watch this video and then head over to our Volunteer Form to give us an idea of what shifts you are most interested in working during the first 30 days.

Lost and Found: Please take time over the next couple of weeks to look through the Lost and Found at both campuses for items that your students may have lost this year. All items that are left on Thursday, June 15th will be donated.

Yearbook: Yearbooks are on sale for $20. Click HERE to place an order.

Spirit Shirt Contest: 2017-18 Spirit Shirt Contest forms have been sent home with your students. Please make sure your students submit their drawing for consideration by Monday, June 5th.

Math Monday:  There will not be Math Monday this week as Monday is a holiday.

Arriving to School: Students may be dropped off at campus no earlier than 7:50 am if they are not going to BASE.  Any student arriving between 7:50 am and 8:10 am should go directly to the cafeteria.  Students arriving on campus after 8:20 am need to go straight to the office for a tardy slip.

Field Day: The end of the year is near and that means Field Day is right around the corner! Field Day will be held on Wednesday, June 14th from 9:30 AM to 11:20 AM.  To help us celebrate all of our students’ hard work, we will need your help. Click HERE to see how you can help. Note: dismissal on the last day of school is at 12:00pm for all students K-4 grade.

Field Day: Mark your calendar for Field Day on Wednesday, June 14th. Look for ways to get involved in Field Day from your child’s Advisory/Homeroom teacher. Click HERE to volunteer.

Uniforms:  As the weather warms up, please take a few minutes to look through your child’s uniforms and ensure they have the appropriate uniform for school.  We have seen an increase in students out of uniform this week.  Thank you for your support!

Attendance:  We have just a few weeks left at school, but there is much to learn between now and June 14th.  Please make attendance a priority for your Explorer until the last day of school.
