Announcements:

For the Whole School

Joey’s Food Locker: Being a good #steward means also responding to those in our community who are in need.  Many of you may be aware that students within Joel Schwieger’s Adult Transition Program at Natomas High School run “Joey’s Food Locker”.  The food locker serves the community once a month where people in need can receive food for three days.  Last month, over 200 people sought help from the community food closet and the cupboards were emptied.  We are asking our Explorer Families to contribute donations of canned and non-perishable foods including pasta, canned meats or canned vegetables.  Donations can be sent to school through Friday, May 13th.  We extended the deadline in hopes to get even more collections!

For Del Paso

Math Monday:  Participate in Math Monday HERE.

Bike Month:  Remember to turn in your bike logs to your teachers every Tuesday in May.

Open House:  We are excited to welcome all families to our Del Paso campus at 6 pm on Wednesday, May 25.  Our teachers and students work hard to showcase what they have been learning.  Please visit your student’s classrooms, as well as exploring other grade levels and classrooms.

For Pebblewood

Open House:  We are excited for our showcase event on May 18th from 6:00-7:00PM.  We hope all families and students can join us for this showcase of student learning.  Our middle school students will be presenting their PBL projects they are currently working on in their elective courses.  These PBL projects focus on our Core Value, Global Perspective. If your student can not attend this showcase event please reach out to your child’s Advisory teacher. We look forward to seeing all families in attendance.  Please mark your calendars! In addition, come on out to see our amazing 5th graders showcase of learning!

Progress Reports: Progress reports came home Friday, May 6th. Please take the time to review your student’s progress with them and make goals for the remainder of the trimester.  Please return the Progress Report Cover Sheet, Progress Report Reflection and envelope all signed to Advisory/homeroom teachers by Tuesday, May 10th.

Classes switch: Middle School students in grades 6-8th will be switching their electives on Monday, May 10th. This is the last elective rotation this year! Students are eager to participate in their new electives that range from Engineering to Project Green!
