  • We had over 350+ Walkers at our first Walking Wednesday! Keep it up, families! It really helps our parking lot traffic move more quickly.
  • We would like to celebrate our teachers and staff for a great launch to the school year! They worked hard! Swing by our Facebook page and say something nice about a staff member who has helped start the year off on a positive note!

  • We had a fantastic assembly for all the students on the Pebblewood Campus on Friday! Students and staff laughed, cheered and played games that promoted our #ExplorerPride!

Whole-School Announcements

  • Great job on getting those packets turned in! We nearly hit 100%. A few forms came back that had a signature on one side, but not on the second side, so we may reach out to you via email to get a signature on the second side of a form or two!
  • Click here to download a spirit gear flyer! You can return these to your teacher to order WCS Spirit Wear this fall!  The deadline to order Spirit Wear is September 15th.

 

Announcements from our Del Paso Campus

  • Friday Spirit Dress:  Please make sure that your student is in correct attire on Fridays.  Students who are not in uniform will need to call home to get a correct uniform.
    • Tops:  Westlake Charter School Spirit Shirt, College Shirt, or Uniform Shirt.
    • Bottoms:  Blue Jeans (no rips or holes), or Uniform Bottoms.
  • Mark your calendars for Wednesday August 26th- Back to School Night 6-7:30 on our Del Paso Campus.  This event is for parents only, so please plan to find childcare for your student that evening.  Our BASE program will be open until 7:30pm that night.
  • We have updated the Parking Lot Map for the 2015-16 School Year to allow for more flexibility during the highest traffic times of the days.  On this map, parents can park in any yellow spot.  The numbered spaces are STAFF ONLY.  If the space has a number, DO NOT PARK THERE.  We now have 25 unreserved spaces.  Also, please note that we have some staff members who do not have a reserved spot, so you will see some staff parking in the unreserved spaces when they are here.  Finally, we know it is tempting, but please avoid parking in the NP3 parking lot.  Even during their breaks, they have events and meetings scheduled and need to use their own parking lot.

 

Announcements from Our Pebblewood Campus

  • Drop off: Our breakfast begins at 7:15. If your child is dropped off between 7:15- 7:30 they must go to the cafeteria where supervision is available.  If your student is dropped off any time after 7:30, they may go directly onto the blacktop.  At 7:45 the bell rings and school begins!
  • Pick Up:  There are two lanes in the entrance of the school parking lot. The lane on the right hand side (as you face the school) is for Middle School Families.  The lane on the left hand side is for 5th grade families.  As we split these two lanes up it will allow the flow of traffic to move more quickly. If you have a middle school student and a 5th grade student, your middle school student will head down to the 5th grade pick up zone (which is in front of the multipurpose room) and wait with your 5th grade student. Thank you for your patience as we get back into the routine.  
  • We’ll see you this week on the Pebblewood Campus for our Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 19th from  6:00 – 7:30.
