Greetings, Explorer Families!
We are very excited to welcome you to the 2015 – 2016 school year at Westlake Charter School. This summer our staff members have been working diligently to prepare for the coming year. We are charging our student Chromebook computers, diving into our new math curriculum and putting some elbow grease into each classroom to ensure that this next year will be our best year ever.
Today I would like to make sure you are invited, and encouraged to attend, some important events that will ensure your family is set up for success here at Westlake Charter School.
August 5th 6:00PM – 7:15PM
Del Paso Campus New Families Orientation with Reception to follow
This event is for all new families attending our Del Paso Campus. During this short orientation your family will meet educators and leaders from our campus and receive materials and information that will help ensure a successful year. After the orientation, please stay for a reception organized by our amazing WAVE parent team.
August 6th 6:00PM – 7:30PM
Pebblewood Campus Orientation with Reception to follow
This event is for all families attending our Pebblewood Campus. This brief orientation will introduce educators and leaders from our campus as well as deliver materials and information that will help ensure a successful year. Students in 6th – 8th grade will select electives at this event and 5th Grade parents will meet key staff members and take a virtual tour of the school. After the orientation, please stay for a reception organized by our amazing WAVE parent team.
August 8th – 12:00-3:00PM
All School Event: WAVE Family BBQ
Our WAVE Parent team is pulling out all the stops for this whole school family BBQ. Click Here to RSVP and sign up to bring a dish for the pot luck, or just show up and enjoy the event. We’ll have music, bounce houses, families and food – a perfect way to end the summer. The picnic will be held at the Valley Oaks Park, adjacent to the future Westlake Campus.
August 11th –
Meet the Teacher at Del Paso Campus 3:00PM to 4:00PM
Meet the Teacher at Pebblewood Campus 2:30PM-3:30PM
Come by and meet your teacher the day before school starts. This is an opportunity to walk the classroom and see the amazing environment that your student will enter on the first day of school.
