As the 2013/14 school year comes to a close, I would like to answer a few FAQ.

Q: What guidelines do BASE staff follow as the weather warms up?

A: Please see the link named ” BASE Warm Weather Guidelines” for more information.

Q: Are Summer registration packets available online?

A: Yes, packets are available online this year. There is a link at the top of this BASE page. Just print out the packet, complete ALL forms and pages, and return to BASE staff. PLEASE DO NOT RETURN FORMS TO THE OFFICE. Only BASE staff may accept fully completed registration packets.

Q: If my child(ren) attended BASE during the 13/14 school year, do I have to complete the forms and pay the registration fees again?

A: Yes, a registration packet must be completed for each session (School Year and Summer) and the $30.00/Family registration fee paid (via PayPal). Please note: These items are due at least 24 hours prior to the first day of attendance.

Q: My student will be starting Westlake in the Fall. Can he/she attend Summer BASE?

A: Yes, your student may attend Summer BASE. The Summer Session begins June 23rd, 2014.

Q: What kind of activities will my child(ren) participate in while at Summer BASE?

A: Please see the link named “Summer Flyer” for more information. BASE will also hold a Summer Orientation on Monday, June 9th from 6:15-6:45 PM in the BASE room at 3800 Del Paso Road 95834. Registration packets will be available at the orientation, as well as some of the staff your students will be working with during Summer Break.

Q: Will my Kinder be grouped with older students?

A: No, the students will be placed  into one of the 3 grade levels groupings. Kinder, 1st-2nd, 3rd and up. An additional group may be added, depending on the number of students attending Summer BASE. There will be, on occasion, parts of the day where the groups may blend, and only when necessary.

Q: How will I get my final statement for the 13/14 school year?

A: Statements dated June 1st-June 17th, will be available for pick up on the last day of school: June 18th, 2014. Please be sure to pick up your statement at this time. If your student will be attending our Summer BASE Program, you may also pick it up then. Please note: You will find the fees for the last day of school on the next applicable statement.

Q: How can I pay for my BASE fees?

A: Fees are to be paid using the PayPal link on this BASE page. It is important to use the BASE link to ensure that your payments are directed to the right place. Cash and Checks WILL NOT be accepted. If you are uncomfortable using PayPal, you may pay by Money Order. Please note: You do not need a PayPal account in order to make a payment. There is an option to sign in as a “guest”.
