Being a part of Westlake Charter School means that our families have made a choice to be a part of something special. Together, we are able to demonstrate what is possible when school and community collaborate. At Westlake, collaboration means that our families: Connect, Engage, and Contribute.
Connect: Families connect at Westlake by showing up, building relationships, and developing a sense of belonging.
Engage: Families engage by staying informed and actively supporting their student’s Academic, Behavioral, and Social-Emotional growth.
Contribute: Families contribute by giving their time, talents, resources, or relationships to make opportunities possible for every student through volunteerism, fundraising, and participation.
Throughout the year, Westlake Charter School will consistently offer families clear ways to connect, engage, and contribute each month so that together we can demonstrate what is possible!
August Opportunities to Collaborate:
Connect: Start the year off right, show up to Meet the Teacher, mingle with other families, and make connections that will fuel your year!
Engage: Begin the year “in the know” by reading the Westlake Weekly every Sunday for the first month of school. Make it a habit so you know what is coming!
Contribute: At WCS, Field Lessons are for every student at every grade level! Transportation alone costs our school thousands of dollars. When every family contributes through donations, fundraising, and referring business sponsors for our Field Lessons and School Supplies Drive, it becomes truly possible for every one of our students to Explore!
Celebrations

BASE Summer Camps have been a smashing success this year! Students engaged in themed weekly activities to stay cool in the summer heat!

This summer we welcomed our incoming Kindergarten students to campus for a chance to meet new friends and play together. It was a fun filled morning with bubbles, chalk, a story and lots of laughs.

Ms. Firsty’s art students created a beautiful mural, and this summer it was installed in the hallway at WCHS. We can’t wait for you to see it when you are on campus during Meet the Teacher.
