September Opportunities to Collaborate:
Connect: Spend a day on campus connecting with other families, building community, and supporting our students by volunteering to help during the school day on September 25th for our Olympic Triathlon Event Day!
Engage: Check your teacher’s newsletter for information about what your student is learning, and bring it up at the dinner table with your Explorer! Showing that you are in the know about school makes it more important to your student!
Contribute: September is a big month for contributions! We need your time and talent during our Olympic Triathlon Event Day and we need your support through donations and fundraising to meet our Olympic Triathlon goal!
Celebrations

We are now two thirds of the way into our 19th Annual Olympic Triathlon fundraising campaign and as a community, our Explorers have raised over $20,000! Shout out to the following classes for leading the way with the highest percentage of participation: Mrs. Hilliard’s class in Elementary School, Ms. Alexander’s Advisory class in Middle School, and Mr. Gray’s Advisory class in High School!

Our Eighth Grade Explorers worked to design, build and test contraptions to keep an egg safe as part of their unit on collisions. On Friday, students participated in the annual Eighth Grade Egg Drop! #JoyfulLearning

Fly Me to the Moon! Homecoming Spirit Week was out of this world! Throughout the week, our students showed off their creativity and school spirit with Shimmer & Shine, Twins Day, Cosmic Character Day, and more. It was wonderful to see our campus come alive as students celebrated together and built excitement for Saturday’s Homecoming Dance. A huge thank you to Activities Directors Abby Grimaldi and Suzy Threadgill, Student Council, and Leadership for putting together such a fun and spirited week for our WCHS community!
