Celebrations

Congratulations to the promoting Class of 2026 and graduating Class of 2030! We are so excited to launch these Explorers off to high school! Your hard work, growth, and perseverance have been truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll accomplish in the next chapter of your journey.

Last week, we celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026. These graduates walked across the stage as leaders, learners, and global citizens who have continued to shape Westlake Charter High School. This achievement is a testament to their dedication, resilience, and the unwavering support of their families and WCHS teachers and staff. Together, they have strengthened the foundation of our high school and contributed to a legacy that will inspire generations to come. Thank you for your contributions to our community and for showing the world what it means to lead and thrive as each of you embarks on your next chapter as inspiring adults.

We wrapped up the year with three incredible Field Days! A big thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers who went above and beyond to make each event memorable for our Explorers. Thanks to their efforts, students had a blast competing and celebrating during their final week of school!

Get Involved This Summer: The energy from this year has us excited for what comes next, and we want YOU to be a part of it.
This summer, WAVE is accepting nominations for event chairs and leads for some of our favorite community traditions: Bingo Night, Trivia Night, the Olympic Triathlon, the Fall Festival, and more. Whether you have been waiting for the right moment to step up or you are brand new to volunteering, this is your invitation.
Leading an event is one of the most rewarding ways to connect with our Westlake community, and you will never do it alone. We are here to support you every step of the way.
Ready to raise your hand? Fill out the form below for more information and to submit your nomination. We will be reviewing submissions throughout the summer and our goal is to have these roles filled before August 1st so we can hit the ground running when school starts.
Questions? Reach out to us anytime at [email protected]. We would love to hear from you. CLICK HERE to sign up!
Logging Hours: If you’ve volunteered 30 minutes or more, please take a quick moment to CLICK HERE to log your hours. Whether it was helping in the classroom, supporting the Olympic Triathlon, Bingo Night, or International Festival, every hour counts! Tracking volunteer time helps us meet our school’s charter commitments and shows the incredible impact our families make. It takes less than a minute — let’s see which grade level can log the most hours! You have until June 30th to make your hours count for this year.
Kudos: On June 4th, we gathered to do something we do not do enough: stop and say thank you.
Our Volunteer Appreciation Event was a packed house full of the most amazing people, and that is no accident. It is a reflection of the kind of community Westlake truly is.
A special shout out to Cristi Rodda, Glori Ruslender, Heather Caito, Manpreet Singh, Jenny Garcia, Sofia Segura, and Alex Segura. Your commitment, your energy, and your heart made this year what it was. We see you, and we are so grateful for you.
And to every single volunteer who gave their time this year: this community runs on your love for these kids and this school. We could not do any of it without you.
We hope to see all of you back and involved next year. The best is still ahead.
With so much gratitude, The WAVE Team
