Celebrations

Let’s celebrate the creativity of our students from Kindergarten all the way through 10th grade. After visiting Mrs. Miksits’ biology class where our 10th grade students were dissecting sea anemones, Dr. Eick walked into an art class where a student asked, “What should I draw?” Without thinking the response was, “Draw a sea anemone playing volleyball,” and without hesitation, this amazing art was created!

Our 15th annual Holidays Around the World on our K-8 campus was an absolute success! Each classroom partnered with a buddy class and collaborated to study the activities and practices of holidays from around the world. This hands on, engaging opportunity was one of a multitude of experiences that help to raise our students as Global Citizens.

For the past few weeks, second and third graders have been working hard on their clay project. The first week was dedicated to making a sketch of their ideas. They used markers and crayons to draw out just how they wanted their clay teacups to look. The second week was when we got our hands dirty! The students brought their ideas to life by molding the clay into shape. Many of them made their cups unique by adding ears, tails, faces, the works! This week, after patiently waiting for all of their cups to dry, the students are now paintings their creations.
