Kindergarten students created heritage dolls to celebrate their culture. They had the opportunity to share about their heritage with their classmates. We are so proud of our Explorer students for speaking in front of their class and having a #WCSGlobalPerspective.

WAVE Meeting: This Thursday, December 5th, please join us for our monthly WAVE meeting. We will meet in the Media Center (Library) at 6:30pm to discuss upcoming events, fundraising activities and other ways to support WCS. This is a great way to meet other parents and learn more about WAVE. We will also have some special treats for our final meeting of 2019! We hope to see you there!

Walking School Bus: A group of students and parents walk to school from Burberry Park each and everyday regardless of weather. Supervision is available beginning at 7:45am and the group starts walking to school at 8am. Students earn boot bucks to use towards prizes throughout the year and we also have random prize days that all the students look forward to. This is a great opportunity to get the wiggles out, reduce congestion near campus, meet some new friends and socialize before the school day begins.

Family Movie Night: Our Family Movie Night featuring The Secret Life of Pets 2 is coming up on Friday, December 13th at 6pm. Families will enjoy free popcorn and water while enjoying the movie with friends in the gym. Please feel free to wear pajamas and bring blankets to make it extra comfortable. We also need some volunteers to make the night possible. Please click HERE to sign up.

Kudos: Thank you to our fantastic WEB Leaders! WEB, which stands for “Where Everyone Belongs”, is an orientation, mentorship and leadership program where 8th graders work with 6th and 7th graders. Many of the WEB leaders have also volunteered at several school-wide events and have proven themselves to be true leaders on this campus. Keep it up, Explorers!
