Parent Teacher Conference: Parent Teacher March 4th – 8th. Click HERE to sign up for your student’s conference. Click HERE for instructions on how to sign up. Remember, March 4th – 8th will be early dismissal for all grades to allow for time to meet with each of our families. All specialty teachers will be in their classrooms and our PE teachers will be in the Media Center.

Parent Survey: Please click HERE fill our parent survey use to rate your family’s experience at Westlake Charter School during the 2018-19 school year.  These questions help us evaluate how we are doing on our current strategic plan. Deadline 8:00 AM on Tuesday, March 12th.

March Pedestrian Safety Month: March is Pedestrian Safety Month. We would like to kick off the month with parent volunteers assisting with Pedestrian Safety in crosswalks and in our parking lot. Click HERE to select a date and time to help.

Whole School Morning Meeting: Families are welcome to join us for our end of trimester whole school morning meeting! At the whole school morning meeting, we celebrate students and build community in the same way we do in class each day.

6-8 Advisory Fishbowl: Please join us as our 6-8 grade students discuss ways to address the important topic of Bully Prevention. On March 15th from 8:15 AM – 8:57 AM, you will join a small group of 6-8th grade students and a staff member and engage in a guided conversation about Bully Prevention. BASE is Open Conference Week:  All grades have early dismissal for the week of conferences, March 4th – 8th. Kindergarten will dismiss at 1:00pm and 1st – 8th grade will dismiss at 1:30pm. BASE will be open all week until 6:00 pm.

Box Tops Competition Results: Congratulations to Ms. Kavanas’ class and Mr. Aichele’s class for winning the Box Top competition. Please be on the lookout for another competition before the school year is over. Thank you for the continued support!

2019 International Festival: Save the Date for this WCS favorite! The International Festival Committee is busy planning this incredible event which is quickly approaching on April 6th from 3-7pm. Parent Mixer Survey: WAVE invites you to participate in our first Parent Mixer! A parent/guardian event is a great way to meet or reconnect with other families at Westlake Charter School. School Cents and Shopping to Educate Programs: Don’t forget that WCS earns points for every dollar spent at Arden Fair Mall, Loehmann’s Plaza and Lake Crest Village. It is quick and easy to upload receipts at https://www.marketingguru.com/receipts/. Westlake has earned thousands of dollars over the last few years by participating in these programs.

WAVE Board Elections: Are you interested in being part of the WAVE board? All board positions for President, VP of Business Affairs, VP of Parent Participation, Treasurer and Secretary are coming up for elections in April.
