Back to School Night Details: We are looking forward to seeing all of our families at Back to School Night is this Wednesday, August 22nd!

  • Distraction Free: This is a parent-only event to allow for teachers and families to connect in a distraction free environment. Our BASE program will be open for FREE for all WCS students during back to school night. Click HERE to RSVP for BASE at Back to School Night.
  • Food Trucks: Masa Taco and Good Dog food trucks will be at our covered dining area from 4:45-7:10 pm so families have a food option for this busy evening.  
  • Kinder through 5th grade families:  Both sessions are identical sessions, you only need to attend one per student. Session one is 6:00-6:30 pm, session two is 6:40-7:10 pm. Art and Spanish teachers will be in their classrooms, and PE will be on the outdoor stage from 6:00-7:10pm – please stop by!
  • 6th-8th grade families: We have two identical sessions, you only need to attend one. Session one is 5:00-5:40 pm, session two is 6:00-6:40 pm. During these sessions, you will meet with your student’s core teachers and specialty teachers. Your students are creating your schedule for the evening.

Free and Reduced Meal Application: Each year, we ask families to complete a Free and Reduced Price School Meals (FRPSM) application. Please remember, we need every student to return the letter with a parent signature and the appropriate check-box selected. If you have not yet returned this letter, please return it by Back to School Night.  Even if you choose not to complete the FRPSM application, we still need a letter back for each student so that we can ensure every family had the opportunity to complete the application.

Explorer Athletics: The inaugural Explorer Athletics season is upon us! Families, click HERE to sign up your middle school student for either co-ed FLAG FOOTBALL or co-ed VOLLEYBALL. Email [email protected] with questions or feedback.

After-School Live: After-School Live Clubs are back this year, and easier to lead than ever! Earn volunteer hours by leading Explorers in joyful learning experiences after school. Click HERE for more information, and click HERE to show your interest. Email [email protected] with questions.

Walking School Bus:  Meet new friends, get some exercise and fresh air, and save your time sitting in traffic by joining our daily Walking School Bus, in the morning and afternoons. This daily adult supervised walking group meets each morning and afternoon to walk kids to and from school.  Parents can join the group, or drop their students off to walk with the group.

  • The morning group meets at Burberry Park, (Northborough and Club Center drives) starting at 7:50 and leaves by 8am.
  • The afternoon group meets after school and goes to Burberry Park for parent pick up by 3:45 Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday, and 2pm on Wednesdays.  Be sure to set your preference on School Dismissal Manager.

Sign up in the office for your student to receive a free Trip Scanner Card for all the added benefits, including parent notifications, prizes and parties.

Walking School Bus: Walking to school with our Walking School Bus is a fabulous way to start your day! Kids get to move their bodies and arrive at school ready to focus and learn. Walking School Bus meets at Burberry Park at 7:50am and departs at 8:00am every morning. Students joining the walk to school will earn “boot bucks” which can be redeemed for prizes and parties!

WAVE Calendar of Events: WAVE has a full calendar of events planned for the upcoming school year and we are excited to share it with you. Upcoming events include the first Coffee Talk of the year on August 24th, a WAVE meeting on August 30th  and a fun night of Bingo on September 14th. We hope to see you there!

Logging Volunteer Hours: WAVE asks families to log all of their volunteer hours throughout the year and we are excited to announce a new and improved volunteer hour entry website. The new site is easy, intuitive and extra quick! Please be on the lookout for a link to the new site when it officially launches next month!
