Hello Families,

Thank you to all of our awesome students that showed their talents last week at the Talent Show! What a fantastic event for all of our students and families to enjoy!  Way to go Explorers!

This week is an exciting one! Don’t forget to come on out to Open House, Wednesday, May 21st at 6:00pm.  Students should plan to attend this event to showcase their awesome projects they have been working on.  5th Grade will showcase their science water projects, 6th grade will showcase their Business Projects, 7th grade will showcase their Humanitarian Aide Projects, and 8th grade will showcase their Heroes Projects! In addition, Human impact projects, art work, and more will be displayed for families and the community to see. You won’t want to miss it!

8th grade parent meeting! Our 8th graders are preparing for some exciting events in the next few weeks.  We will be having a parent information meeting on Wednesday, May 21st at 7:30pm (directly following Open House) in Mrs. Sutton’s room.  We will be covering: the 8th Grade dinner/dance, 8th grade trip, and promotion.  Please send at least one parent from each family.

Puberty Parent Preview will be held this Thursday, May 22nd at 6:00pm.  This is for 7th grade parents only.  If you are a 7th grade parent and would like to preview the video from “Conception to Birth” that our 7th graders will be watching during science class at the beginning of June please come out to preview the video on Thursday at 6:00pm in Mrs. Sutton’s room.

After the great success of the WCMS Chili Cook Off, we have decided to host another community challenge event!  Mark your calendars for June 4th at 6pm.  This time around we are looking  for pasta perfection in this year’s Italian Challenge. We’ll cook the pasta and are looking for the best sauce your family recipes have to offer! This fantastic event will take place right here on our Pebblewood campus.

Mark your calendars for the last day of school, June 18th.  8th Grade promotion will take place at the NP3 Gym at 8:00am.  Field day for grades 5-7 will begin at 9:30am on the Pebblewood campus! Look for ways to get involved in field day!

Let’s have an awesome week!

Miss Wilhelm
