Hello Families,
We have been busy at WCMS these past few weeks. Last week our middle school drama class presented the play “Law and Order: Fairy Tale Unit”. They did such an amazing job! Thank you to Mrs. Whiteside for all of her efforts making this play happen. The actors did an impressive job! Way to go! Thank you to all of the families that came out to support them.
Students at WCMS just wrapped up Smarter Balanced Field Testing this past week. Our students worked so very hard each day. The computerized tests were very challenging. Students took the field tests in Math, Language Arts, and participated in a performance task in either Math or Language Arts. Last month, March, we focused on attendance. Many of our students earned perfect attendance! Way to go! Perfect attendance, means they were not tardy, nor left early during the month of March! There are many students that earned a “Perfect Attendance Ticket”. This ticket entitles the student to have free dress on Friday, April 11th. I know many students are very excited to have earned a free dress day.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Spring Break! Spring Break runs from April 14th-April 25th. I look forward to seeing students back at school on April 28th.
