Charitable Giving and Field Trip
We will begin collecting food donations on Monday for the Sacramento Food Bank. Please bring in non-perishable food donations, such as canned food, to donate in the large blue bins in your child’s classroom. We will also be taking a field trip to the Sacramento Food Bank to see what happens to our donations. The field trip will be December 10th at 11:00am at 3308 Third Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95817. We will need chaperones and drivers for this event. The tour itself should take around 30-45 minutes. We will be departing WCS at 10:30 am, and should be arriving back at WCS at approximately 12:30 pm. I am really looking forward to this, it should be very educational, and a great lesson for the holiday season.
Winter Play Planning
We have begun planning for our Winter Play, which will be on December 20th in the gym on campus. If you would like to help, please let me know. We now have committee chair people who will be organizing events and meetings. We have many opportunities to help! We also are in need of: decorative rocks, forest animal costumes, foam mats and pool noodles.
Winter Play Costumes
We will need every student to bring in a brown, long sleeved shirt for our play. We will need these shirts as soon as possible, and no later than December 3rd.
Conference/Survey Info
The teachers have relayed that they were so happy with the outcome of the parent/teacher conferences. They shared that the parents were positive, helpful, and really made the conferences enjoyable. Thank you!
Please complete the surveys when you are able. We want to be sure that we are doing all that we can to support each family and to increase the quality of our program. We now have boxes for the surveys in both classrooms, and will be reviewing the results in December. The last day to submit the survey is December 18th.
